Raglan Forestry Hydroseeding for Exposed Ground After Earthworks
A forestry project near Raglan required a revegetation approach for exposed ground created by earthworks and track work. Vista Environmental Landcare completed a hydroseeding application across sloped, disturbed areas as part of the erosion and sediment-control programme.
The site challenge
Forestry work can leave exposed clay, batters, skid areas and track cut-ins that need a practical vegetation-establishment plan. The right approach depends on the site’s slope, access, water movement, preparation, surrounding land use and relevant project requirements.
What Vista completed
The archive records:
- Hydroseeding across exposed ground following forestry earthworks and track cut-ins;
- A tailored slurry treatment for steep and remote batters; and
- A project focus on establishing cover as part of erosion and sediment-control planning.
Discuss a slope or exposed-bank project
If you have a forestry, farm, rural subdivision, or earthworks site with exposed ground, send photos, plans and access information. We will assess the slope, ground condition and programme to determine whether a hydraulic treatment is suitable.
