Residential Hydroseeding
Ground Preparation & Lawn Establishment
Restoring a Residential Lawn in Cockle Bay
This Cockle Bay residential project focused on establishing a healthy new lawn through careful soil preparation and a tailored hydroseeding application. Vista Environmental Landcare graded the existing subsoil, placed topsoil to improve drainage and applied a specialised seed and mulch treatment across the prepared areas.
The site challenge
The property’s terrain and soil conditions required attention before hydroseeding could begin. Grading and topsoil placement helped create a suitable growing surface, while the hydroseeding mixture was selected to support seed establishment and reduce the risk of material movement during the early growing period.
What Vista completed
- Subsoil grading and ground preparation.
- Topsoil placement to improve surface drainage.
- Preparation of a perennial ryegrass and fine fescue seed blend.
- Hydroseeding with starter fertiliser, wood-fibre mulch and tackifier.
- Provision of automated irrigation instructions and lawn care guidance.
The project record reports initial green growth within 5–7 days, with the lawn ready for its first trim in approximately 3–4 weeks.
