Lawn Hydroseeding & Dust Control
PROJECT OVERVIEW
New Lawn Hydroseeding for a Cambridge Lifestyle Property
ollowing construction, a newly graded residential property in Cambridge was left with exposed topsoil vulnerable to wind and surface runoff. The project involves a tailored hydroseeding treatment designed to help manage exposed soil while establishing a healthy new lawn suited to the property’s conditions.
THE PROJECT
The site challenge
The freshly graded property presented challenges associated with bare ground, including airborne dust and the potential for muddy runoff during rainfall.
The hydroseeding approach needed to consider both immediate surface protection and longer-term lawn establishment, using materials suited to the prepared soil and local conditions.
WORK COMPLETED
The Planned Hydroseeding Approach
- Review the newly graded topsoil and prepared lawn area.
- Prepare a customised hydroseeding slurry using wood-fibre mulch and heavy-duty tackifier.
- Apply the mixture evenly across the exposed ground.
- Use the mulch and binding materials to help retain moisture and reduce seed movement.
- Support seed germination and the establishment of a new residential lawn.
The treatment is intended to assist with surface dust management while creating suitable conditions for vegetation growth.
